How to Edit Polls

Bright Polls can be edited after posting.

There are two ways to edit polls: with Creator Controls or through the Manage Polls interface.

When you post a poll, Bright Poll will display to you (and only you) Creator Controls within the poll results message. These allow you to edit, close, or delete the poll.

Click the “Edit” button to open the editing widget.

Make your changes and save.

Only the text of the question and answers can be edited. To add another option or change the options on the poll (limiting votes, hiding respondent identities, etc.), please delete the poll and post a new one.

Manage Polls

To edit a poll using the Manage Polls interface, first, open the Bright Poll app from the left sidebar in Teams.

If Bright Poll is not pinned to the sidebar, click the three dots (pictured below) and find the Bright Poll app.

Tip: Right-click on Bright Poll and select “Pin.” This will keep Bright Poll in your sidebar so you don’t have to search for it.

Next, send a message to Bright Poll that says “manage polls”.

Bright Poll will respond with a card listing the five polls you most recently posted.

Editing a Poll

Clicking the “Edit” button under the poll question will open the editing widget.

Editing Older Polls

Bright Poll shows you your most recent 5 polls when you ask to manage polls.

To manage and edit older polls, use the “Next”, “Last”, “Previous”, and “First” buttons at the bottom of the card to page through your poll history.
